History of LaChance Vineyards De Soto
Founded in 2010 by Harold and Tami Hamby, LaChance Vineyards in De Soto, Missouri, transformed an 80-acre family farm, originally purchased in the 1977 by the Hamby Family, into a premier winery. Named after Harold’s great-grandfather, Ferdinand ‘Zep’ LaChance, a Frenchman whose optimism inspires the winery’s ethos, the vineyard now spans nearly 8,000 grapevines, crafting unique hybrid wines like Crimson Cabernet.
Nestled in Jefferson County’s rolling hills, this family-owned estate blends French country charm with Tuscan allure, offering a serene escape for wine enthusiasts, food connoisseurs, and everyone in-between.
